Der Dalmore 15 YO ist ein Single Malt Whisky und wird in den nördlichen Highlands produziert. Er zählt zu den so genannten ''Connoisseurs Malt'' und wird im traditionellen ''Pot-Still-Verfahren'' hergestellt. Diese beiden Tatsachen sind verantwortlich für die außergewöhnliche Qualität und Eleganz des Whiskys. Dazu kommt, dass er zunächst in Bourbon-Fässern reift und danach noch einige Jahre in spanischen Sherryfässern, in denen zuvor Amoroso, Matusalem und Apostoles lagerten. Das hinterlässt Spuren, die der Whisky mit einer süßen Cremigkeit und Fruchtigkeit belohnt. Neben dem ausgeprägten Sherry-Aroma wehen dem Genießer noch Facetten von Orange, Zitrus und Schokolade in die Nase. Im Geschmack überzeugt der Dalmore mit Noten von Vanille, Zitrus, Zimt und Nuancen von ''Christmas Cake“. Das lang anhaltende Finish ist komplex, man vernimmt noch Orange und Ingwer, bevor er sich sanft verabschiedet. Unbedingt pur genießen!

Überwältigende Sherrynoten

Der Dalmore 15yo präsentiert sich in einer sehr schönen Flasche. Bereits beim öffnen kommen einem sehr ausgeprägte Sherryaromen entgegen. Es sind Vanille, Zitrusnoten und ganz leicht Zimt wahr zu nehmen. Am Gaumen ist er fruchtig, voll, würzig und sehr süss. Im Abgang mittellang, aber sehr angenehm ausgewogen.
